Legal Advisory Service

Appointments are available each Monday and Wednesday between 5.30 and 7.00pm. A 20 minute interview with a solicitor costs only $25 (or $15 for pension or concession card holders). An experienced practising solicitor is available to answer basic questions on any legal problem. It may be a family law matter, property dispute, an argument with a neighbour or a motor vehicle accident or offence. This service has advised on virtually every type of matter. Your questions will be discussed and advice given as to the next step for you to take. Many common problems can be sorted out or made much clearer after a brief talk with a lawyer. If the matter is complex you might use the service to decide whether to take the matter further. The Law Society has been running the legal advisory service for more than 20 years. In that time it has assisted more than 21,000 people.
