This seminar is aimed at a Basic Level for practitioners 0-5 years or others who wish to get a better understanding of liquor licensing and gaming matters.

Topics that will be addressed include:

• Structure of the Liquor Licensing Act, its interaction with other legislation particularly the Gaming Machines Act and Development Act;

• Consideration of licence types/categories;

• Codes of Practice and recent amendments to the Liquor Licensing Act;

• Disciplinary action, resident noise complaints and the like.
