The Retail and Commercial Leases (Miscellaneous) Amendment Bill 2019 is presently before the Upper House of State Parliament, following the lapse of the Retail and Commercial Leases (Miscellaneous) Amendment Bill 2017 prior to the 2018 State election. This session will cover the major changes currently proposed by the 2019 Bill, including:
- New exemptions from the application of the Retail and Commercial Leases Act.
Circumstances where the Act can commence or cease application during the life of a Lease.
New disclosure requirements.
New provisions relating to execution, registration and return of Leases.
New rules relating to security bonds and bank guarantees.
New penalties for non-compliance, and more.

Cancellations: Payment in full of the registration fee is required to be made at least five working days prior to the event.  Previously paid registrations are transferable subject to the alternate attendee being eligible to register at the same registration fee (that is a practitioner who is not a Society member is not eligible to attend in place of a member without the price differential having been paid.
