The Intervention Orders (Prevention of Abuse) Act 2009 can have an enormous effect on Family Law Matters. From being able to suspend parenting orders to influencing the division of property it is important that anyone practicing in this area of has a grasp on how these areas of law interact and how to assist a client both substantially and procedurally when faced with an intervention order arising in the course of the conduct of a family law matter. The seminar aims to give practitioners a practical guide to dealing with this situation, including how to advise your client, how to go about dealing with simultaneous litigation, including if there are associated criminal charges, where to litigate the matter and other practical assistance.”
