Superannuation - Is It That Hard?

1.5 CPD Units in Professional Skills

Presenter:  Peter Crump - AMP Advice

Chair:  Siobhan Parker - David Burrell & Co

Superannuation is treated as property under the Family Law Act 1975, and has its own unique rules and regulations for its inclusion under agreements or orders.

Having an understanding of how superannuation is treated is essential for all Family Law practitioners, but surely it should not be that hard.

In this session Peter Crump, an actuary and financial adviser, will provide participants with an insight into the treatment of superannuation for the purpose of agreements or orders.

What to do after the superannuation has been divided and how the parties can move on financially are important considerations for your clients.

Case studies will be used to illustrate superannuation splitting and moving on.
