A LAWYER’S GUIDE TO THE WORKINGS OF THE PAROLE BOARD

This presentation will be given by William Boucaut QC, Deputy Presiding Member of the Parole Board

The session will deal with the practical workings of the Parole Board of South Australia, including how the Board deals with applications, factors relevant to the granting or refusal of parole, conditions of parole, the role of Community Corrections, the consequences of breaches, interactions between the Board and the Courts, appeals against decisions of the Board and the role of solicitors at Board hearings.

The session is a must for practitioners who advise in respect of criminal matters.
