About the session
The Advocacy Committee of the Law Society offers an opportunity for advocacy training, by qualified and experienced advocates and judicial officers, in a small group setting (maximum of 5), on this occasion to those who practice in Criminal Litigation as advocates or who wish to do so.

This course is directed to those who are starting out as advocates or those who seek to refresh their skills and techniques in a courtroom setting. It will include a short presentation by a qualified and experienced psychologist on anxiety management, followed by a presentation on etiquette and court manners, in a realistic courtroom setting under the guidance of experienced practitioners.

Places are limited to 20 persons on each day and will be filled on a first come, first in basis.

FRIENDLY WARNING:
This Advocacy Training is for people with all levels of experience, however, as should be reasonably apparent this event involves participants in preparing and presenting as if in Court on the basis of material distributed prior to the event and requires prior preparation. If you enroll, you must do the necessary preparation and it is expected that you would be fully prepared to the best of your capacity, in order to participate in the exercise.
