Presenter: Holly Gardner, Grace Solicitors

Gain practical insights and legal knowledge regarding employer obligations in relation to bullying, discrimination and harassment, including best-practice prevention strategies and the potential legal consequences for employers when these issues are not effectively managed.

This session will cover:

  • A summary of current laws on bullying, discrimination and harassment, including employer obligations.
  • Practical and effective strategies for employers to mitigate/prevent bullying, discrimination and harassment in the workplace.
  • Legal consequences for employers and/or individuals, if preventative measure are not taken.
About the Presenter:
Holly is a senior legal practitioner who works in private practice. She has extensive experience in employment law, industrial relations and litigation (employment, commercial, civil and construction).
In addition to providing legal advice on various employment issues, Holly also provides employer clients with training/workshops. These workshops assist employers manage various employee issues (including poor performance/redundancies/ terminations) and various workplace issues (including bullying, harassment and discrimination). Holly is passionate about respectful behaviours at work.

Holly also assists the Flinders University with assignments and exam papers on contract law. She is a member of the Australian Labour and Employment Relations Association of South Australia (ALERA SA) and the Law Society of South Australia. She has previously sat on the BIRST SA Board (which administers redundancy entitlements to workers in the Building Industry in South Australia) and the South Australian Portable Long Service Leave Board (Construction Industry).
