Psychosocial Risk: An Introduction for Legal Professionals
Friday, 21 August 2026 | 10:00am - 11:00am | Live Zoom Webinar Only
1 CPD unit (Practice Management and Business Skills)

Presenter: Fairlie Morgan, Mindseye Training

Developed in partnership with the Wellbeing and Resilience Committee, this session supports the profession's ongoing commitment to psychologically healthy workplaces.

Psychosocial hazards are now a key focus of work health and safety regulation, with increasing expectations on employers to identify, assess and manage risks to psychological health. This one-hour introductory session provides legal professionals with an overview of the psychosocial risk landscape, including employer duties under WHS legislation, the South Australian Code of Practice, and common psychosocial hazards encountered in legal workplaces.

The session will focus on practical approaches to identifying, assessing and controlling psychosocial risks, with particular attention to workplace investigations, governance and organisational compliance. It will also provide a brief update on recent developments, including the Respect@Work reforms, positive duty, emerging SafeWork and Fair Work enforcement trends, and key considerations when advising employers and clients.
