The workshop focuses on Microsoft Copilot, as most practitioners already have access to Microsoft 365 within their practice. Copilot offers one of the easiest entry points into AI due to its seamless integration with tools practitioners use every day, including Word, Outlook, Excel and Teams.
The session combines practical demonstrations with interactive exercises and will cover data privacy, governance considerations, and real-world legal applications of AI.
Ethics, Professional Responsibility and AI
This component of the workshop is designed to familiarise practitioners with the ethical, professional and regulatory considerations associated with AI tools.

- Consumer vs enterprise AI tools
- AI and courts - a review of guidance frameworks

A two hour hands-on workshop using Enterprise Copilot in a sandboxed training environment.

About the Presenter:
Mark Ferraretto, the founder of Digital Law Lab, is a practising solicitor and the principal of Mark Ferraretto Legal Practice. Mark had a career in IT of over 20 years before returning to study law. Mark was admitted into practice in 2017 and practised in commercial and family law. Mark was previously an academic at Flinders University, where he developed and taught legal technology topics that taught students coding skills and guided them in developing legal technology applications for not-for-profit organisations.
Registration Fees:
This session includes specialised content and is subject to a fixed presenter fee arrangement, so pricing differs from standard CPD sessions included in Platinum and Student Membership. CPD vouchers cannot be used towards the registration fee.
