1.5 CPD units (Risk Management)

Only offered to those insured under the PII Scheme within the Law Society.

Presenters: Law Claims (Law Society of South Australia)

Law Claims’ Date Systems Review online training has been designed to assist practices to identify gaps in date systems that might lead to delay or missed time limits.

The modules present causes of missed dates that arise in a law practice:

  1. Date Calculations
  2. Dates in the Diary
  3. Date Diarisation
  4. Electronic Date System Malfunction
  5. Monitoring Dates
  6. Preparing for a Due Date
  7. Uncontactable Client
  8. Matter Progress
  9. File Handover
  10. End of the Day Dates

If relevant to their professional development, practitioners are invited to claim one point per hour towards their annual CPD requirement.*

The scenarios and date control systems suggested in this course are not intended to be exhaustive, and practices can implement their own systems to manage the date risks identified in this course.

This course is being provided at no cost to the profession and is being fully funded by Law Claims.

*please note that a maximum of 5 CPD units of recorded content per CPD year can be claimed for MCPD compliance
