In early December, Society provided the Minister for Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence with a response to the Royal Commission into Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence. The Society commends the work of the Royal Commission, and the many people impacted by domestic family and sexual violence who shared their experiences with the Commission and informed this comprehensive report.
The Government has now released its response, and the Society will seek further detail about reforms that relate to the legal profession, including provision of vulnerable witness suites in courts, and specialised training for those who work in the justice system.
