On 21 February 2026, writs were issued and the government entered caretaker mode, signaling the end of the 55th State Parliament.
The Society has been actively advocating for issues that affect the legal profession via its 2026 State Election platform.
The Society recently launched its online State Election hub, which monitors and evaluates parties’ pre-election announcements related to the justice system and legal profession.
The online hub has also published responses from parties and independents to the Society’s State Election Platform.
