About the Guest Speaker:
The Honourable Chief Justice Stephen Gageler AC, Chief Justice of Australia



Stephen John Gageler was appointed to the High Court in October 2012, and as Chief Justice in November 2023. At the time of his appointment, he was Solicitor-General of Australia. He is a graduate of the Australian National University and has post-graduate qualifications from Harvard University. He was admitted as a barrister of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 1989 and was appointed Senior Counsel in 2000. Before his appointment as Solicitor-General in 2008, he practised as a barrister extensively throughout Australia principally in constitutional law, administrative law and commercial law. 

2024 Law Society Awards

The 2024 Law Society Awards, which will be presented at the Legal Profession Gala is an opportunity to highlight the outstanding contributions made by South Australian legal professionals. 
Award nominations are now open and ends COB Friday, 19 July. Award finalists will be announced in InBrief on Thursday, 25 July.

Entertainment: All About Her Music
All About Her, one of Adelaide's finest and most engaging bands will be providing the entertainment for the night, complete with a DJ set towards the end of the function.
