Wednesday, 8 May 2024 | 10:00am - 11:30am | by Live Zoom Meeting only (no recording)
1.5 CPD units (Practice Management/Business Skills)

Presenter: Rosie Bartlett - Founder and Principal Consultant, Mindseye Training and Consulting

Introduction to Mental Health First Aid has been developed for people who would be interested in implementing workplace change in terms of Mental Health First Aid.  It provides leaders within organisations with information about the behavioural and physical signs that often indicate when an employee is experiencing a mental health problem and approaches for supporting an employee with mental illness. It talks to the role of MHFAiders and MHFA Officers in a workplace and how Mental Health First Aid training can contribute to a culture of care where staff feel supported and encouraged to talk openly about mental health. We will also place a focus on some additional considerations in the prevention of mental ill health.

As attendees the participants also learn about how the workplace can contribute to mental health problems, the framework for creating mentally healthy workplaces and how Mental Health First Aid training in the workplace can help.

This session is a good introductory session for those considering getting accredited as a Mental Health First Aider.

Please send an email to cpd@lawsocietysa.asn.au for expressions of interest in getting MHFA accreditation and/or MHFA Refresher course.

Limited spots only, please book early.
