These papers will provide an overview of the first six months’ operation of the Return To Work Act, with an emphasis on areas of particular interest to practitioners including:
Transitional provisions of the Act – anomalies and jurisdictional voids;

How are multiple injuries to be dealt with for determining if a worker is a seriously injured worker?;

Applying the Return To Work Guidelines for assessing whole person impairment;

Reviewing orders and directions of Conciliation Officers;

Employers duty to provide work pursuant to s.18 of the Act Decisions of the WCT and SAET relevant to the Return To Work Act will be referred to.
