Presenter: James Roder – Howard Zelling Chambers The compulsory acquisition of land can be one of the most stressful events to happen to a client and raises a series of difficulties to a practitioner in successfully navigating the process such to protect their clients’ interests. This session will consider the approach to the management of a compulsory acquisition file including the extent and basis to which an acquisition might be opposed, the practicalities of negotiating compensation and strategies to protect and advance the clients position in the event litigation is necessary.
